On October 18, 2005 Alyce Benevides of Knit-Head waited 8 hours at Tower Records,NYC to meet & give Depeche Mode (her favorite band since 1986) hand knit Punk's Not Dead Mohawk hats.

Much to her amazement, Martin Gore loved the hats so much that he wore them on stage every night of DM's Touring the Angel world tour!

Thanks to Depeche Modes' support of Knit-Head's designs we received national media attention, most notably in Entertainment Weekly and on NBC's Today Show. Recently, we have partnered with Chronicle Books to publish PRETTY IN PUNK:25 Punk, Rock and Goth Knitting Projects. (including our Mohawk hats!)
